Before the sun is up
Fill a thermos at the coffee bar and grab a hot breakfast to eat before you head out. We are running before almost anywhere else in Whitefish has turned the lights on, which matters when the bite is best at first light. Pack extra coffee and hot food for the shack while you are here.
Stay warm out there
Bring provisions for a long, cold sit. Snacks, hot drinks, and something real from the kitchen so a slow day on the ice is still a good one. Top off the tank at the Cenex pumps before you head for the lake.
