Made fresh, in-house
The Kitchen
There is a chef in the back at Westside Market, and a lot of what you eat here is cooked in a real kitchen, made fresh every day. This is not a shelf of wrapped sandwiches. It is a kitchen that cooks through the day, so whenever you walk in there is good, hot food ready to go.
Breakfast is the heart of it
The kitchen makes breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches fresh every morning, the kind of hot start you would not expect at a place with fuel pumps out front. If you eat gluten free, this is worth knowing. The kitchen keeps gluten free options on hand, which is a rare thing to find at a market like this. Ask what is available that day.
The 5:30 AM deal
Here is the one to remember. Come in early and a breakfast burrito with an americano runs eight dollars, a hot, handmade breakfast and a real cup of coffee, ready before almost anywhere else in Whitefish has turned the lights on. It is a good way to start a morning that is headed somewhere.

Grab and go for the road
Grab charcuterie and cheese from the case for the lake or the campfire, and pick up a garage pie, Montana's handheld meat pie, for the road. On weekends we bring in fresh gourmet donuts from The Spot Bakery in Kalispell, Saturday and Sunday only.

Chester's Chicken, hot off the line
On the hot line you will find Chester's Chicken, hot and crispy and a Whitefish favorite, ready to grab when you are. Most summer Fridays the grill also comes out front and the kitchen fires up a barbecue right at the store, usually around 11 to 2. It has become a west side ritual worth planning a summer Friday around. Come by, see what is on, and eat it while it is hot.
